Of course, there are even more options for trick-or-treating in Belleville as Halloween draws nearer. The Downtown Halloween Trick or Treat event takes place around Paderborn Square on October 24, 2025, starting at 5:30 PM. Many downtown businesses and residents get in on the fun, offering treats to costumed kids of all ages. There's fall fun for pets in Belleville, too! Fur-ight Night is a trunk-or-treat event designed for dogs, with doggie trick-or-treat stations, costume contests for pups, great prizes, fall photo ops, and live entertainment. This fun event will be hosted at Ace Hardware and takes place on October 10, 2025, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Do note that dogs must be supervised at all times and kept on a leash, unless they're playing in one of the designated off-leash areas at the event.
On October 4, 2025, you can take the short drive north to Collinsville for a day of family fun on the farm with the annual Willoughby Farm Fall Farm Day. Every October, the St. Clair Historical Society offers a Haunted Walking Tour that's always one of the highlights of the spooky season. This year marks the 8th annual Haunted Walking Tour, with a number of new places and additional scary stories added for this year's event. The Haunted Walking Tour takes place on October 15, 2025, at 6:00 PM, and you can purchase tickets in advance online.
