Summer means outdoor concerts, and HaHa Tonka will be providing the tunes over the holiday weekend at Eckert's Belleville Farm. The band takes their unique name from a state park in the Ozarks of Missouri, their home state. Rock, folk, indie, and country music all influence the band's overall sound, which features high energy, catchy hooks, and tight harmonies. The dog- and family-friendly concert takes place from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Saturday, 7/5, and tickets are $11.34.

Take part in a classic holiday tradition at Mascoutah's annual Old Fashioned July 4th Celebration. Get an early morning start at the Mascoutah Meltdown 5K, with proceeds benefiting BreakdownT1D, formerly known as Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Later on, the carnival-style celebration features rides, food and drink vendors, live music, and a colorful fireworks display to cap it off. The event begins at 10 a.m. on Friday, 7/4, with fireworks scheduled at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Start a new holiday tradition by attending the inaugural celebration of Red, White, and Blue in the Loo. It takes two full days to contain all the activities planned for the event, with a partial list including live music, mechanical bull riding, a selfie booth, and a silent disco. Food, beverage, and craft vendors will also be on hand. Hours are 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. on Thursday, 7/3, and noon - 10 p.m. on Friday, 7/4.
