Belleville

No one knows Belleville like our real estate agents do. Between work and play, they've seen more of this bustling city than most and are eager to share their knowledge with all of you.

Dining

If you're feeling hungry, Belleville's culinary scene is sure to deliver.

In addition to the wide selection of beer, wine, and cocktails, Cured and Cultured offers casual dining favorites like sandwiches, wraps, flatbreads, and wings. Visit during their weekly Taco Tuesday, Fried Chicken Sunday, and Make a Difference Monday events to take advantage of special discounts or support a good cause near our Belleville homes for sale

Tavern on Main is best known around town for mouthwatering artisan pizzas, but they also serve soups, salads, and sandwiches for those who aren't in the mood for a slice. Try their toasted ravioli for a special pre-dinner treat!

For those looking for a slightly more upscale experience, Gaucho's Argentinian Steakhouse is a great option. Diners can choose from a variety of different grilled meat entrees, including pork, chicken, tuna, and plenty of premium beef. Each dish is served on a hot stone grill that provides a perfect oil-free sear without overcooking the meat.

Attractions

Belleville's borders encompass many exciting attractions you might want to visit.

If you're into history, the Labor and Industry Museum is well worth a visit. Its exhibits chronicle Belleville's past as a major part of Illinois' 19th-century industrial operations. Some of the specific industries represented include brick and glassmaking, brewing, and pattern-making. Be sure to visit Union Hall for an in-depth look at the evolution of Belleville's working and middle classes!

Scott Field Heritage Air Park is a must-see attraction for anyone interested in aviation or military strategy. The park holds six aircraft that were once used in World War I, including the C-141 Starlifter and the KC-135 Stratotanker. It's also right next to a real Air Force base that is still in use today.

Activities

Those looking for a fun way to spend time on a weekend will have plenty of options here too.

If you're looking for some fresh produce for your table, you can stop by the Braeutigam Orchards. This nearly 200-year-old farm grows and sells cherries, apricots, peaches, blackberries, pumpkins, apples, and many other delicious fruits and vegetables.

Next door, you'll find the Orchards Golf Club. This 18-hole public course offers a varied set of challenges to suit both beginners and more experienced players. The location's rolling hills and pastoral atmosphere will give you plenty of scenery to look at while the rest of your party takes their turn on the green.

Lovers of art will have a great time at the city's annual Art on the Square event, a juried fine arts competition that has been attracting visitors from all over the country for more than 20 years. Each May, you can browse the works of over 100 local and national artists and shop for original works to decorate your home.
