From Tee to the Green Golf Clinic is a great opportunity for kids to learn to golf or improve their golf skills. The program is open to all children ages 6 - 18. Clinics take place each Saturday from 1:00 - 2:30 pm, with the last session held on August 26th, 2023. There is a $75 fee per session.
These gold clinics are held at the Yorkville Golf Course. Kids will learn all of the fundamentals, from putting to driving.

Have you always wanted to learn to play tennis? Here's the perfect chance. Belleville Parks & Recreation offers tennis lessons for all ages in the summer months. There are sessions for adults that meet on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Sessions for ages 10 - 15 are held on Mondays and Wednesdays, and beginner sessions for ages 6 - 10 take place on Monday and Wednesday mornings.
These tennis lessons are held at The Campus Tennis Courts on Main Street. There is a fee of $100 per person, which covers three weeks of sessions.
- Belleville Summer Concert Series: 341 Bellevue Park Dr., Belleville, IL 62221
If you love relaxing and listening to music in the summer, then head over to Bellevue Park for a free concert. On July 6th, Little Known Fact will take the stage. On July 20th, the featured band is Shortmist.
These Thursday night concerts start at 7:00 pm. Make sure you bring your own chairs or blankets to sit on. Admission is free, and the shows are appropriate for all ages.
- Belleville Bike Trail: Belleville, IL 62220
The Belleville Bike Trail, also known as the Richland Creek Greenway, is a 2-mile bike path that stretches along Richland Creek and through central Belleville. You can park and access the trail from North End, South Side, or Optimist Park.
This is a very nicely paved, well-maintained, concrete pathway. If you're not in the mood to bike, you can easily walk or jog along the trail. There are some permanent pieces of fitness equipment you can use along the way. You'll also pass some sculptures made by local Belleville artists.

While Belleville has a lot of great parks, the best one to visit with kids is probably Cambridge Park. This part has an incredible playground with a climbing wall, swinging benches, and raised platforms.
There's also a lovely walking trail that leads through Cambridge Park. Take a walk and admire nature, resting on one of the park benches, if needed. This path is a favorite among local birdwatchers.
