St. Clair County Dining

Summer in Saint Clair County means outdoor dining, and our real estate agents like it even better when they're not doing the cooking. Join family and friends for a meal on the patio at one of these wonderful local restaurants.

  • 4204 Main Street Brewing Co. - 6435 W. Main St., Belleville, IL 62226
German descendants form a significant part of the community around Belleville homes for sale. In 2014, 4204 Main Street Brewing Co. went back to the future to restore a tradition that had been gone since the 1980s. In addition to sweet-and-savory beers such as Pecan Brown Ale and Salted Lime Kolsch, 4204 brews hard seltzers on-site. Enjoy a cold beverage with creative menu items like Nashville hot pizza or nachos, topped with spicy chicken nuggets, out in the traditional beer garden. 4204 is open Friday from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Saturday from 2 p.m. - 10 p.m.

  • Copper Fire - 200 E. Main St., Belleville, IL 62220
At Copper Fire, the menu is almost as entertaining as the activities. Have fun building your own pasta or personal pan pizza from a wide range of options. Kids can dress up their soft drinks with fun flavors like mixed berry, pineapple, and blue cotton candy. There are plenty of TVs indoors and outdoors, so you can follow the Cardinals game, along with live music on selected nights. Jay the Balloon Dude is there for the kids every Wednesday. Hours are 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Wednesday, 11 a.m. - midnight Thursday, 11 a.m. - 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Sunday.

  • The Weingarten - 1780 E. State Rt. 15, Belleville, IL 62221
Beer gardens are a classic dining option, so why shouldn't wine get equal time? The Weingarten goes one step further by creating a beautiful open-air space in a rustic country setting. A glass of your favorite wine pairs well with a sausage and cheese plate or charcuterie board for a light summer dinner. Heartier appetites can go for the signature mac & beer cheese, French dip, or flatbread pizza. Bring your leashed pet along for Summer Dog Days each Sunday and treat Fido to a Muddy Paws cookie or Pup Cup. Hours are 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Sunday.

  • Spike's Pub & Grub - 3701 W. Main St., Belleville, IL 62226
As down-home friendly and comfortable as the name implies, Spike's Pub & Grub is located in a historic building that has been home to taverns since 1910. Sit on the cozy front patio for some great people-watching as you dine on pub favorites such as fish tacos, Cajun po' boys, or a steak sandwich cooked to order. Seafood lovers go for Speichinger's fish plate, featuring golden-brown fried cod and cole slaw made from a 70-year-old family recipe. Spike's is open daily from 11 a.m. - 2 a.m.

  • Fletcher's Kitchen & Tap - 1524 Clinton Hills Pkwy., Swansea, IL 62226
Few things hit the spot, like a good bar burger. A local food critic once declared that the eight-ounce Fat Sam burger at Fletcher's Kitchen & Tap is so amazing, it should be the "official food of Belleville." With a year-round patio, video gaming room, and custom bar, family-owned Fletcher's makes a great gathering spot just minutes from Swansea homes for sale. Follow them on Facebook for information about live music out on the patio. Hours are 11 a.m. - 2 a.m., seven days a week.
