Main St. Registration for the 5 p.m. walk on Tuesday, December 31 begins at 4:30 p.m., with dinner following at 6:30 p.m. The New Year's Eve Walk & Dinner is open to all, but reservations are required for dinner.
   
   
2. NYE: Midnight Masquerade - Casino Queen, 200 S. Front St., East St. Louis 62201
   It's no gamble to plan on a lively evening at Casino Queen's NYE: Midnight Masquerade. Drawings will be held every half-hour for $500 or $2,019 in Royal Free Play, with a $2,020 cash prize awarded at the stroke of midnight. Enjoy live entertainment on the casino stage as well as at SEVENS, Casino Queen's on-site restaurant, which will also be serving free appetizers. While Casino Queen is just minutes from East St. Louis homes for sale, why not book a room at the adjacent full-service hotel?    After the last glass of champagne has been raised, start 2020 fresh at the New Year's 2020 Run sponsored by Top Nutrition & Performance. Meet up at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, January 1, to walk or run a course of approximately three miles. Be sure to pick up a map beforehand with a unique number that serves as an entry in the prize drawings. The top three finishers will also receive prizes such as gym memberships or Amazon gift cards. Admission is free, and the field is limited to the first 50 people to sign up.
   
   
4. NYE Kinderfest - Hofbräuhaus St. Louis, 123 Saint Eugene Dr., Belleville 62223
   Too tough for the kids (or parents!) to stay awake until midnight? NYE Kinderfest is a family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration for those who prefer to keep sensible hours. Hofbräuhaus St. Louis is modeled after an authentic German beer hall with a menu of traditional favorites such as freshly baked pretzels, schnitzel, and strudel. The highlight of the activities will be the balloon drop at 5 p.m., which is midnight in Munich. Kinderfest runs from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. with no fee or reservations required.
   
   
5. New Year's Eve Retro 80s Party - Panorama Banquet Center, 200 South Belt W., Belleville 62220
   Celebrate the decade of New Wave bands, aerobics, and permed hair. New Year's Eve Retro 80s Party starts with cocktails followed by dinner and door prizes. Then it's time to dance the night away as a DJ spins those awesome 80s tunes. Get busy digging out those acid-wash jeans, cut-up sweatshirts, and Vans! The party runs from 5 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31. Tickets are $50.
